American Indian Health Care Delivery Plan

The American Indian Health Care Delivery Plan (AIHCDP) is a unique and important collaboration among federally recognized Tribes, American Indian organizations, and the Washington State Department of Health. The Washington State Health Services Act of 1993 originally authorized the development and publication of an AIHDCP and, in 1995, responsibility for the plan was transferred from the Health Care Authority to the Department of Health, which allocated funds to conduct the project. The first AIHCDP was published in 1997. New editions have been published in 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, and 2007.
